    DEVELOPMENT!

This is one of our key areas of monitoring at Taqwa Nursery. It is vitally important for us to be able to see and evidence development in all areas for our children. We follow a termly cycle of monitoring, progress tracking and logging. This cycle then feeds into the production of ‘next steps’ for the children to follow in the next term. Children’s learning and development is monitored on a Progress Monitoring Grid which highlights the age band children are working at each term. If any child is identified as working below their age band, one-to-one interventions are put in place to help support them in the area they need help in.

Children’s development is evidenced in their Learning Journals, these will be updated throughout the term by the children’s keyworkers and will be available for parents/guardians to view during parent’s meetings.

We regularly have apprentices joining our team, who are mentored by our qualified staff and are working towards their own level 3 or above qualifications.
